Hello, my name is Megan. I'm a wife, mother, teacher, sister, auntie, daughter, friend, and aspiring author. I'm also wanting to help my family get healthier and happier. I've created this blog to document our adventure to a simpler life.

My husband and I have will have been married 17 years at the end of this month. He is back in school and on a journey to find the best way to support our family. We just had a baby at the beginning of April, which brings our family up to eight. We're one of those crazy homeschooling families, but most people wouldn't know because we're just the usual batch of crazy. I would consider us a relatively healthy family. We eat a lot of fruits and veggies. We try to stay away from most processed food. We have a long way to go, however, before we get to where I want us to be. I'm just discovering how to make natural cleaning products. I've used vinegar and water (along with some ammonia that I'd like to cut out...) on my floors for a long time, but I'm branching out to other areas such as the dreaded bathroom.

 My goals are to eventually use only natural cleaners in our home, to eliminate processed food altogether (baby steps!), and to use the healthiest products for our person hygiene. I'm also going to document our herb and vitamin uses. For now, I'd like to make one post a week. I think that's all that will fit into our busy schedule.

Please note: this is a learning process for me. I will be doing my own research as we make this journey, and the end result will be through a lot of trial and error. I'm hoping that creating a blog will keep me on track, and if I help a few people along the way, that's the icing. ;)
